This leading International Investment Bank is looking for a senior Operational Risk individual to take up the Team Head role to deliver of all Risk related initiatives across the Global Banking Platform in Asia Pacific.

    This leading International Investment Bank is looking for a senior Operational Risk individual to take up the Team Head role to deliver of all Risk related initiatives across the Global Banking Platform in Asia Pacific.

    Main Responsibilities

  • Manage in business risk function involving liaison with Compliance / Legal / Tax and oversight of areas of Information Security / Document Retention / Business Continuity respectively
  • Partner with staff across countries & regions to ensure best practice transfer and drive overall Global Banking Risk Management initiatives & projects
  • Monitoring policies, procedures and processes to ensure adherence to local regulations, licensing requirements, firm policies and determining the adequacy of designed Controls
  • Provide ongoing and candid advice / training as appropriate and foster superior working relationship with all stakeholders including senior management, IT and operational teams, which includes Bankers, RMs & Transactors
  • Establish process to identify, document and track corrective action plans identified through Risk Assessment and Self-Testing process or other means
  • Leading / reviewing / overseeing the completion of adhoc projects & initiatives, as required
  • Ensure that documentation is appropriately identified and maintained to support Attestations
  • To represent AsiaPac Global Bank risk in relevant conference calls, internal peer & industry group meetings

    Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably gained from sizable investment banks
  • Solid understanding of the operation of investment banking business and various products, prior experience in operational audit preferable
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, be able to liaise with both internal colleagues and external parties
  • Mature, confident, and able to work independently
