Provide Architecture and Level 2 support for Global Investment Bank's Enterprise Monitoring Infrastructure.

Responsibilities, Tasks & Objectives

Responsibilities Provide Architecture and Level 2 support for GLS Enterprise Monitoring

Infrastructure Tasks • Working closely with Infrastructure, Operations, and Application Development teams. • Monitoring production applications and systems using a combination of off-the-shelf tools, an existing framework, and custom development where necessary. • Able manage small projects and client relationships with several teams simultaneously. • Able to communicate effectively on paper, electronically, on the telephone, and in person. • The applicant will also be required to work in an on-call rotation in support of the existing toolset periodically. • Assist Business Lines with the Planning and Implementation of new projects involving Enterprise Monitoring. • Be a member of the team responsible for providing 24 x 7 Production Support for Enterprise Monitoring Projects • Troubleshoot EMT problems when necessary. • Work with vendors on software issues • Work with Business line developers

Objective Enhance the level of service that Enterprise Monitoring provides to the Business Lines

Position Qualifications

Hardware, Software, OS Software: Unicenter NSM, Unicenter ServiceDesk, Telalert Enterprise, Apache, Tomcat, Perl, Javascript, PHP, Microsoft SQL or Oracle Hardware: Windows 2000/2003 OR Linux/Solaris experience

Previous Work Experience 3-5 yrs of TOTAL work experience. • Windows 2000/2003 or Unix system administration experience required. • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, shell, and/or Java required • Working experience with CA Unicenter Suite a plus.

Educational Background Four year college Comp Sci degree or equivalent

Languages English

Other Skills Required

Strong technical skills, good communication skills.

Work Schedule (“standard”/other) Standard: Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 5 p.m.
